Arts Centre Melbourne offers a limited number of work experience placements. Work experience students will be based in Arts Centre Melbourne’s dedicated learning space, The Channel.  

Work experience in The Channel involves helping with educational workshops for school groups, attending planning meetings, assisting with small event bump ins, and different projects as they arise. You will also have the opportunity to meet team members working across a wide variety of roles, giving you some insight into the many career pathways an arts organisation offers.  

Please note: We are not able to offer work experience in back of house or production departments, or shadowing artists or performers. 

Arts Centre Melbourne is offering 2 blocks for student placements in 2025: 

Work Experience Round 1: June 16th - 20th 2025

Applications for Round 1 close COB April 17th 2025.

Work Experience Round 2: September 15th - 19th 2025

Applications for Round 2 close COB June 1st 2025.
