About the Role

In this newly created role, you’ll primarily support:

Foyer Bars: operates in both the Theatre Building (7 outlets) and Hamer Hall (4 outlets).

Wirths: a dining hall beneath the State Theatre that plays host to performers, presenters and ACM staff.

Deli: the newest addition to the ACM Food and beverage department and the only venue within another organisation; therefore, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service to represent the organisation in the best positive light. 

As the Assistant Manager, you’ll ensure we deliver the highest level of customer service by providing visible leadership to the Hospitality Department. You’ll help coach, counsel, supervise, motivate and develop team members by providing them with regular feedback on performance.

Full-Time fixed term position (12 months). Band 2.3 $68,970.00 + leave entitlements and superannuation.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Relevant professional qualification in hospitality or an equivalent combination of relevant experience
  • Current RSA Certificate
  • Advanced cocktail and regional wine knowledge
  • Experience in effectively leading the performance of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the delivery of customer service excellence
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office systems

The Food and Beverage team sits within the Customer Innovation Pillar and is responsible for the service and delivery of all food and beverage related activity in Arts Centre Melbourne including the Theatres building, Hamer Hall and Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

The team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and innovative cuisine across all venues and function spaces in keeping with Arts Centre Melbourne standards.
