About the Position

The primary purpose of this role is to welcome everyone to Arts Centre Melbourne and proactively champion an exceptional customer experience by providing information, tourism, ticketing and retail services to ensure that each customer maximises their time with us and engages in the performing arts.

You will create remarkable customer experiences at a range of events, from rock concerts to symphony orchestras, First Nations dance performances and Comedy Festival shows.

You will greet and guide customers, anticipate needs during events and shows, ensure areas are safe and operationally effective. This is a great opportunity to build upon the experience you've already gained at ACM.

Hours of work vary, with most events at night and on weekends.

Variable Time B ongoing position, approx. 22.8 hours per week. Band 2.1 $61,635.00 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation.

 

Your skills and experience 

  • Experience in the delivery of proactive customer service that has resulted in successful and enjoyable customer experiences
  • Experience with handling and balancing a variety of payment methods
  • Tessitura experience highly regarded
  • Moderate PC skills
  • Experience in communicating with and delivering exceptional customer service to visitors from diverse backgrounds

About the team

The Customer Service team is responsible for proactively delivering personalised services of value that create the ultimate experience before, during and after each visit.

The team is comprised of service and support teams for Ticketing, Front of House, Car Park, Stage Door, Welcome Team, Guided Tours and applications that support all of these areas.
