About the Role

In this role, you will coordinate event delivery across the precinct, whilst fostering and reinforcing relationships between our Presenters and Arts Centre Melbourne. You will also be responsible for:

  • Project managing a variety of events all at different stages of contracting, planning, scheduling, delivery, financial settlement and review
  • Managing and supporting events through clear communications and documentation within the context of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Event Management Framework
  • Assisting in managing impacts on and competing needs of Presenters throughout the Reimagining Arts Centre Melbourne project
  • Acquiring and distributing event information to internal teams, service providers, stakeholders and Presenters
  • Acting as the key operational contact for Presenters, providing outstanding relationship management within the context of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Presenter Management Framework
  • Identifying and driving ways to improve on our event and presenter management processes

Full Time ongoing position. Band 3.3 Salary $90,164.88 per annum plus superannuation.

 

Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Relevant qualification in arts, event or venue management, or equivalent professional experience in the entertainment industry, event or venue management
  • Strong understanding of event delivery processes and ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Demonstrated capacity and initiative in the planning and facilitation of events with an ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service in a high-pressure environment with a pro-active approach to problem-solving
  • Experience in building strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of current technology and operating systems; experience with Ungerboeck (Momentus), Microsoft Office suite, DocuSign and Adobe programs highly desirable
  • Established relationships with relevant industry networks, Presenters, promoters, artists and commercial partners is desirable

The Presenter Services team is responsible for the effective planning, sales and event management of activities by all hirers of Arts Centre Melbourne venues, as well as exploring opportunities for business growth and collaboration with our Presenters.
