Help provide paralegal support to the Legal & Governance team. It is a great opportunity for a person with a passion for the performing arts to learn the business and develop their legal experience at one of Australia’s foremost arts venues.

About the Role

In this role, you will provide paralegal support to the Legal & Governance team. This includes assistance with the preparation and review of contracts across the business, development of legal precedents, records management, policy development, contributing to process improvement and legal awareness across the organisation.

Full time ongoing position. Band 3.1 annual full-time salary of $78,113.00 plus superannuation.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Ideally completed or working towards a Certificate IV in Legal Services.
  • Previous experience within a legal practice, either in-house or law firm, in a paralegal support role favourable though not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in a role providing administrative support, including the creation and maintenance of business documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence other team members to affect positive outcomes.
  • Excellent time management, project management and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to show initiative and find creative solutions to complex problems

About the Team

This team contributes to the strategy and success of business operations through the provision of expert legal and governance advice to the Victorian Arts Centre Trust (Trust), the CEO, Executive Team and business units of Arts Centre Melbourne (ACM) and providing administrative support to the Trust to enable it to discharge its functions under s. 5 of the Victorian Arts Centre Act 1979 (Act).
