About the Role
As an Engineering Officer, you will join an experienced team that oversees the operations of our plant and systems, including High Voltage/Low Voltage electrical installations, chilled and heating hot water, HVAC, domestic water, sanitary and other services in our venues. This fixed-term position supports project delivery, working with contractors and service providers to ensure their work complies with safe work practices and other Arts Centre Melbourne policies and procedures.
Full-time 24-month fixed term position. Band 3.3 $91,970.00 p.a. plus superannuation.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will require:
- Electrical A grade license or equivalent technical qualification with experience working in commercial building services environment.
- Experience operating building management systems and maintenance or experience working in operating environments such as sporting venues, shopping centres, hospitals.
- Available to work rotating shift
- Ability to interpret building plans, technical and schematic drawings.
- Knowledge and experience on electrical installations, High Voltage and Low Voltage system maintenance.
- Ability to walk distances of up to 2-3 kms, work at heights, and work outdoors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
- A high level of understanding and actioning of task prioritisation and a high level of understanding and commitment to customer service are essential.
- Good communication skills, as the successful candidate will be interacting with a variety of people across the organisation.

- Sound computer skills in using asset information management system would be an advantage.

They are responsible for the planning and effective operational management of the Arts Centre Melbourne services, buildings and precinct so our teams can deliver great services to our customers, stakeholders, and the public.
