About the Role
The Team Leader, in conjunction with the Hospitality management team, will lead the team effectively to create an iconic Melbourne venue by following the core values of both Hospitality and the Arts Centre Melbourne as a whole.
You will work primarily in Foyer Bars but must be flexible as you may be required to assist other venues as needed.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for hospitality workers, with overtime conditions and fortnightly rosters in advance. Hours of work vary, as a large proportion of concerts and events are at night and on weekends, particularly Friday and Saturday.
Casual position. Band 1.3 $28.52 per hour plus casual loading and superannuation.
Your Skills and Experience
- Current RSA Certificate
- Experience in effectively leading the performance of a team in a fast service bar environment
- Experience as a barperson in a team environment
- Experience and knowledge of food handling standards and OHS compliance
- Experience in the delivery of customer service excellence
- Advance barista skills, cocktail knowledge and regional wine knowledge
- Experience using Microsoft Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.

The Hospitality team sits within the Customer Service Pillar and is responsible for the service and delivery of all food and beverage related activity in Arts Centre Melbourne including the Theatres building, Hamer Hall and Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The Hospitality Unit is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and innovative cuisine across all venues and function spaces in keeping with Arts Centre Melbourne standards.
