The Business Unit
The Production department sits within the Performing Arts pillar and comprises of a team that delivers production services for ACM across Staging, Lighting, Audio, Broadcast, Wardrobe, Stage Management, and Safety/Training to enable the safe and efficient delivery of events across all of our venues and spaces.
About the Position
The Supervisor, Production Safety supports safe event and performance operations by guiding day-to-day safety practices across Production. The role monitors and supervises the safe technical delivery of events, work practices, and Production Risk Assessments, while assisting in the review, monitoring, and preparation of these assessments. The supervisor ensures adherence to production wide safety requirements, provides safety compliance advice, conducts routine inspections, delivers safety inductions, and develops and maintains safety related documentation.
This position plays an important role in fostering strong presenter and other stakeholder relationships and contributes to identifying and implementing practical solutions to production risks. This includes recommending modifications to work areas, processes, procedures, and equipment to support continuous improvement in safety performance.
Motivates and inspires a high performing Production Safety team to deliver on Arts Centre Melbourne’s strategic goals and functional tasks.
