Want to have a remarkable work experience? Join us in Arts Centre Melbourne's Creative Learning Team! 

Arts Centre Melbourne offers a limited number of work experience placements for high school students. Work experience students will be based in Arts Centre Melbourne’s dedicated learning space, Creative Learning Team.  

Work experience in Creative Learning Team involves helping with educational workshops for school groups, attending planning meetings, assisting with small event bump ins, and different projects as they arise. You will gain insight into the many elements involved in producing a show at Arts Centre Melbourne, including marketing, budgeting and programming, before attending a live performance and developing your own written review. You will also have the opportunity to meet team members working across a wide variety of roles, giving you some insight into the many career pathways an arts organisation offers.  

Please note: We are not able to offer work experience in back of house or production departments, or shadowing artists or performers. 

Arts Centre Melbourne are offering 2 blocks for student placements in 2026: 

Work experience Round 1 : June 15th - 19th  

Work experience Round 2: Aug 10th - Aug 14th
