About the Position
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to deliver accurate and timely payroll services for over 1,000 employees.
This position reports to the Payroll Manager and works closely with a variety of teams across the organisation, providing guidance on payroll matters to our People & Culture team and rostering administrators. You will handle end‑to‑end weekly and fortnightly payroll processing, provide expert advice on the interpretation of our Enterprise Agreement, and support continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, systems and processes.
Full time ongoing position. Band 4.2 $106,743.52 p.a. plus superannuation.
About You
- Significant experience in payroll administration within a large, complex organisation
- Certified Payroll Specialist or Certificate in Payroll Administration preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Chris21 or similar system (including report building)
- Experience with rostering/time & attendance systems (HumanForce desirable)
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation, tax and superannuation obligations
- Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements
- Excellent MS Excel and solid MS Office skills
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity
